Major Jacob Schoellkopf was Commanding Officer of the 85th Fighter Squadron,
79th Fighter Group from July of 1942 to September of 1943. One of the aircraft he flew
was a Curtiss P-40 Warhawk (built in Buffalo) named 'The Stump Jumper'.
